This week we have been learning all about our community. We discussed the buildings in our community, and made our favourite parts of the community using coloured paper. We also integrated our work about the community into our 'Plan, Do, Review' time.
On Tuesday most of the children in KG1B went to the auditorium to see the drama the 'Wonderful World of Oz'. The children had a great time listening to the songs and following the story, and they were excellently behaved. Well done boys and girls!!
We worked together to make a list of all the teachers and workers at school that help us. We then made them out of playdough! We had a fun-filled week this week in KG 1B ! Have a look to see what activities we did! We used blocks to build our school, went on a scavenger hunt around the school to see the people that help us in school, sorted manipulatives by colour in maths, and created funny face collages!!
This week we are focusing on being responsible at home and at school. The children discussed ways we could help our families at home, and our teachers at school. They drew pictures of what they would like to do to help at home, and are going to take photos of them completing these tasks.
KG 1B had a great time celebrating the UAE Flag Day today. We sang the national anthem, waved our flags and got lots of lovely treats! All the boys and girls looked fabulous in their national dress. Well done!
The children have learned a lot about food that is healthy for our bodies, and what is unhealthy. We try to choose to eat healthy food so our bodies grow big and strong. We love trying out the tasty food in the canteen.
KG 1B love to visit the construction room. This week, we worked together to make a big house! Have a look! :)
