We spent a bit of time this week comparing the ages of different children in our class. Each child stuck their Letter Link onto the page illustrating their ages.
This week during our small group time, we completed an activity on 'bigger and smaller'. The children had to sort items into their corresponding groups. Some children even referenced this activity when back in the classroom. The other half of the class completed their 'Number Walk' activity.
For our first school trip we went to 'Jumping World'. The children had a great time jumping on the trampolines, playing dodgeball and playing in the ball pit. Even the KG 1 Teachers and Assistants had a bounce! :)
KG 1 B have been practising their counting!! Each day, we count how many boys and girls are in the class, and how everyone is feeling. Half of the class went on a number walk yesterday to spot numbers around the school! The other half of the class will complete this activity next week.
In our Small Group Time this week we used playdough to make facial expressions. We had great fun making funny faces!!
As yesterday was 'World Food Day', the children in the KG were invited to bring in fruit to share with their classmates, and also to bring in canned items to donate to those who do not have food. The children in KG 1B loved tasting the different fruits they had brought in, and felt great knowing they were helping those in needs. A big 'THANK YOU' to all parents who provided items for this day.
